Darlene Gentry Lucas

I am a lyrical pattern painter whose works focus on the science and fluidity of Space and water.  Before my paintings begin, I spend long periods reading, thinking, observing and sketching - working to translate the images of my mind into physical art.  Mixing some of the oldest elements (graphite, salt, and granulating watercolors) and some of the newest elements (acrylics, inks, and mediums) results in a constantly fascinating, evolving process.
